Compliance Statement: Age-Restricted Services and Children’s Privacy

WeKan is a productivity and project management tool designed for task organization and collaborative workflow. We comply with international standards regarding age-restricted services, including the Australian Online Safety Act, U.S. COPPA, and EU GDPR requirements.

Service Classification: WeKan is classified as a professional productivity tool, not a social media platform. Its primary purpose is project management, which is an excluded category under most age-restricted social media regulations (such as the Australian 2025 Rules).
Functional Interaction: User interaction within WeKan is strictly functional (e.g., task assignments and comments) and intended for professional or educational collaboration, rather than public social networking.
Data Protection: We do not target our services at children under the age of 13 (or 16 in relevant jurisdictions). For self-hosted instances, the responsibility for user access management and age-verification compliance rests with the hosting organization.

Based on these factors, WeKan is exempt from the mandatory age-based bans or restrictions targeted at social media platforms. We provide a secure environment for users of all ages to manage their work and projects.
